Week 4 Evaluation of Carousel Art and Design  Materials The materials we used during these two days are cartridge paper ( A2, A3, A6),  pencils, pens, charcoal, graphite sticks, ink, paint, chalk, lighting, paper photocopies of our collages, wallpaper pieces, paper 3D structures, oil based ink, scissors and the printing press. Processes The process we used are setting up our print making area through the press, cutting our collages into 3D structures and making 15 samples to express our feelings through, experimenting with the different lighting areas with our structures.  Technical skills  The technical skills we used during the two days in art and design are print making using the press, I think I am quite good at print making once I remembered the process. How light enters the camera

How a Camera works Light enters the camera through the barrel lens, where it goes through the adjustable aperture which controls the among of light which enters the camera. The larger the hole the more light can enter which means the F number is lower allowing the subject to be in focus and the background to be blurred. the smaller the aperture hole the higher the F number, this means less light enters the camera and the full frame is in focus. The light then hits the back mirror infont of the shutter and the sensor plate where it is reflected into the prism of mirrors in the top of the camera out through the viewfinder where the photographer can see it. When taking a image the mirror has to move for the shutter to release, this is the split second where the photographers vision goes blank.  This image shows the part of a camera. Paul Hill (Digital) Research

Paul Hill Digital Research Paul Hill was born in 1941 in Ludlow, Shropshire. He has worked for a newspaper as a reporter where later he became a freelance photographer in 1965. He has worked for many big companies such as, BBC, The Telegraph and The Guardian.  Hill and his wife were the first to open a residential photography workshop in their home. They live in the Peak District where he travels all over the country to teach and perform workshops in places like Shropshire, Cumbria and Nottingham. Paul Hill is very passionate about photography and he has even been a lecturer at Trent polytechnic in 1974. 1994 Paul Hill was awarded a MBE by the Queen for his services to photography. He produced his landscape project during 1979- 1989. A lot of Hills work was taken in the Peak District where he lives. This image presents a countryside field divided by a stone wall.
