Order and Chaos Book Research

Book Research

 30th October 2017
We went into the library to research photographers who's work resembles the theme of order and chaos.

Andreas Gursky

Book:Andreas Gursky : Photographs from 1984
These images are an example of the theme chaos, photos he took from 1984. I think the top photo is definatly chaos. Although, the bottom photo could fit order.

Berenice Abbott

Book: from the book constructing worlds
This image I think is an example of chaos as the city building lights and trails show the people and traffic around

Lucien Herve

Book : from the book constructing worlds
This photo, I think is an example of order as the boxes look identical and orderly stacked.

Ed Ruscha

Book : from the book constructing worlds
An example of order as the car parking spaces are lined up. I also think it is order because of the glass building windows lined up.

Stephen Shore

Book: from the book constructing worlds
I think this is an example of chaos because of the busy streets full of people.
This is where all the above from the book constructing worlds was found.

Iwan Baan

This is an example of chaos as the houses are tightly compacted.

John Blakemore

The photographer that produces the photos most like the photos I took is John Blakemore .

- from the book John Blakemore - photographs 1955-2010 . I think this photos most represent chaos as you can see the movement lines as the water travels.
