Week 4 Evaluation of Carousel Art and Design  Materials The materials we used during these two days are cartridge paper ( A2, A3, A6),  pencils, pens, charcoal, graphite sticks, ink, paint, chalk, lighting, paper photocopies of our collages, wallpaper pieces, paper 3D structures, oil based ink, scissors and the printing press. Processes The process we used are setting up our print making area through the press, cutting our collages into 3D structures and making 15 samples to express our feelings through, experimenting with the different lighting areas with our structures.  Technical skills  The technical skills we used during the two days in art and design are print making using the press, I think I am quite good at print making once I remembered the process. How light enters the camera

How a Camera works Light enters the camera through the barrel lens, where it goes through the adjustable aperture which controls the among of light which enters the camera. The larger the hole the more light can enter which means the F number is lower allowing the subject to be in focus and the background to be blurred. the smaller the aperture hole the higher the F number, this means less light enters the camera and the full frame is in focus. The light then hits the back mirror infont of the shutter and the sensor plate where it is reflected into the prism of mirrors in the top of the camera out through the viewfinder where the photographer can see it. When taking a image the mirror has to move for the shutter to release, this is the split second where the photographers vision goes blank.  This image shows the part of a camera. John Blakemore Research (Digital) John Blakemore was born 15th July 1936 in Coventry. He is known for his still life, landscape photography and print making. Some significant event which happen in his life was the war in 1939, he also served as an RAF nurse from 1954-1956. He first got into landscape photography in 1970 when he moved to Derby to begin teaching. From 1971 he started to only use a 5x4 camera and simplified equipment. He solely used a 180mm Symmar S lens for both landscape and still life. This was because it was high quality and large pixels. This camera involved black and white film and it was large format. My favourite groups of photos I like the most is from all flows which are on page 62-63 from the book John Blakemore photographs 1955-2010. I also like from spirits of place which are on page 64-65 of this book. I think I like these because they relate most to some of the photos I have taken.
